As a Louisville native, I competed most of my childhood as a two sport athlete going back and forth between basketball and football. After ultimately choosing to focus on basketball as a junior in high school, I decided to attend Northfield Mount Hermon Prep School in Gill, Massachusetts. During my time at NMH, I was a national champion runner-up, team captain & MVP, and 1st Team ALL-NEPSAC after averaging 21.9 points, 4.9 rebounds and 3.1 assists as a senior. I made 99 three pointers during my senior season which set the school record. Following my senior season, I was invited to play in the Derby Festival All-American game where I won the 3-point and 2 on 2 contest.

I played my freshman and sophomore year at Seton Hall University in the BIG East conference. As a freshman, I started 34 of 36 games and was Top 5 in NCAA Division 1 in minutes played per game for freshmen. At the end of the year,  I was voted the school’s freshman athlete of the year. As a sophomore, I started 32 games and averaged 12.6 ppg, 3.0 rebs, 2.1 assists. I was Top 5 in the BIG East conference in three pointers made (66) and three point percentage (40%). Academically, I made the universities Dean’s List as a sophomore.

Following my sophomore year at Seton Hall, I transferred to the University of Illinois to compete in the Big Ten Conference. In 2013-14, I was voted the team’s Most Improved Player during my red-shirt junior season. The following year, I competed in 19 games for the Fighting Illini before injuries ended my season early. Following the season, I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in sociology.
